Yes yes yes! This lovely, adorable (and free!) EP just totally made my day. Hooray for the Jellyfish Bandits!
ginghamghost:
Download “Romancing a Lumber”, the first album by The Jellyfish Bandits, for free! It is unmastered, but really that’s what lo-fi bedroom pop is all about. Right?
This album was inspired by Woody Allen movies, The Unicorns, Halloween, beach trips, Campy 80s Slasher Films, and drinking…
Eee hee hee! This little critter has been christened the “Pinocchio frog” because of its mini schnoz. I wonder what evolutionary purpose that rostral protrusion could possibly serve!
It never fails to amaze me just how many “new” species are still roaming (and cropping up all over) the world. I just imagine each one as a tiny treasure, stowed away in its respective hidey-hole, waiting to be discovered.
The Tallest Man on Earth - “I Want You”
I love this musician, and I know all of my friends know it. This moustached Swede has an amazingly moving voice that is surprisingly powerful for a man so small. The melodies he concocts are lovely, gritty, and they carry just the right amount of emotion to get me every time I hear them.
Hahaha! I found this video on someone else’s comic blog today. My brother turned away from his computer to ask me what I was watching. I swiveled my laptop around and shared the splendor of this foreign specimen and his fine singing voice with him.
Now Gabe has the melody stuck in his head and has taken to singing it. Oh the joy this video has brought me!
The Loveninjas - “Keep Your Love”
Goodness gracious, these Swedes make me want to shake and shuffle awkwardly around my house.
They say they want me to “keep [my] love,” but I just can’t! They’re too wonderful!

You can swipe a handful of their tunes here!

I really need to stop reading silly things and buckle down for my last final…but I can’t will myself to do it!
This makes me want to name my future cat/dog/other animal “Meatball.” I have no shame.
Adventures with Christina!
I know she’s going to miss the kid who sat in the front row of our stats class. He used to draw furries, read wolf magazines, and watch videos of dancing cats and crazy pandas.
Isto - “It Shall Be So”
I love how immature and sweet this guy’s songs are. The amount of nonsense he tosses into his lyrics never fails to make me laugh. His tiny party hat is also a plus!
This happened to me on the bus last week.
I thought it was such a strange thing to say!
Some sketchbook doodles from this morning.
